The Municipal Cultural Action Plan (MCAP) Inclusion, Diversity, Equity & Accessibility (IDEA) grant will support community initiatives and projects that ensure that inclusion, diversity, equity and accessibility are thoughtfully considered and build intercultural awareness and understanding in the community.
Eligible initiative/project examples may include targeted programs or supports to a specific group of people; transportation to an event/program; Indigenous education or storytelling in a program/event/opportunity.
Ineligible initiatives/projects include out of community travel/initiatives/projects, fundraising initiatives/projects, and school day initiatives/events. City of Prince Albert initiatives/projects that are funded by the the Community Grant program, destination Marketing fund (DMF), major event or special event policies.
Whenever possible, requests should be made 2 months in advance of the initiative/project. Requests will be evaluated based on how it strengthens inclusion, diversity, equity, and/or accessibility n for our City. They will be assessed and awarded on an ongoing basis throughout the year. The same initiative/project will be funded no more than 3 consecutive years. Give PA your best IDEA!

Requests to a maximum of $500 per applicant per year will be reviewed. Applicants should have the necessary funding in place to host the Initiative/Project when the request is made. Initiatives/Projects will not be funded retroactively. Should a funded Initiative/Project not run in the year for which it was requested, this money must be returned to the City of Prince Albert.
100% of the total amount approved for an Initiative/Project will be forwarded to the applicant with confirmation of implementation. A follow-up report is required, see section 6.
